One More Book is owned and run by a few book-loving parents whose favourite thing in the world is finding a hidden-gem book for our own kids to fall for. This is where we share them.
Why we built it
Finding the next great read felt harder than it should be. When a grown-up wants their next novel there’s no shortage of help — and almost none of that care has made its way to children’s books. That always seemed backwards to us.
So many brilliant authors and illustrators are making extraordinary things for children:
- Incredible adventures that pull you in and won’t let go
- Wonderfully silly, wacky stories that make the whole room laugh
- Artwork so beautiful you want to share every page
- Tender, thoughtful books that help a child make sense of big, complicated feelings
- Stories that quietly teach all of us something about the world
Our only goal is to put more of those stories into more small hands — to help whoever’s choosing find the ones that suit their child perfectly.
How a book earns its place
We don’t list everything. Every book here has been hand-picked because the children in our own circle — our families, our friends, and their kids — have read it, loved it, and asked for it again. Tried, tested, and properly loved before it reaches a shelf.
When we point you to a book, it’s because a real child couldn’t put it down.
Independent, and honest about it
We’re entirely independent. Some books link out to shops where you can buy them, and if you buy through one of those links we earn a little — just enough to keep the lights on and the shelves growing. It never changes what we recommend, or where a book sits. We point you to a book because a child loved it, and for no other reason.
