Anna Walker is an Australian author and illustrator of picture books, born in Sydney and now based in Melbourne, who works in a distinctive blend of watercolour, pencil and collage. She writes and illustrates her own stories, among them Florette and Peggy, and illustrates for others, and her books are rooted in the small, quiet, sometimes joyful details of everyday life. Her CBCA Book of the Year (Early Childhood) winner Mr Huff and the New York Times–honoured Florette have made her a well-loved name in Australian children's publishing. Gentle, warm and beautifully observed, her stories often follow small characters facing big feelings, as in the hushed bedtime tale The Dream Keeper, and are a reliable comfort read for the youngest listeners.
