Anne Richardson is an American author and science educator, senior director of Global Collaborations at San Francisco's Exploratorium, where she has spent years helping to design science centres and hands-on learning experiences around the world. Her debut children's book, Octopuses Have Zero Bones, grew out of the questions her daughter asked at bedtime: an inventive counting book that climbs from zero to nine billion, hanging an astonishing fact about animals, space or the human body off each number.
