Beccy Blake is a British author-illustrator based in Bath, who trained in graphic design and illustration and works across children's books, comics and animation. Her debut, Chicken Hill: Attack of the Zombie Cactus, launched a gloriously silly full-colour graphic-novel series set in a not-quite-normal town where the pets talk and the cats are convinced aliens are coming. Centred on inventor Ferdy, his self-obsessed pug Gripper and forever-tired cat Tink, and continuing in Frozen Squirrel Rescue Mission, the books mix pen-and-ink chaos, bright pops of colour and a fart on nearly every page.
