Hanna's style is bright, expressive and warmly cartoony, with strong character beats, Mr. Fish's exaggerated pouty mouth is the visual hook the whole series rests on. The Pout-Pout books are a fixture of the US early-childhood market and have crossed into UK shelves through bookstore picks.
