Kiran Millwood Hargrave is a British poet, playwright and novelist born in 1990, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Her prize-winning debut for children, The Girl of Ink and Stars, is a lyrical, myth-soaked island adventure about a cartographer's daughter who leads a search into her homeland's forbidden heart; it won both the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and the British Book Awards Children's Book of the Year.
