Louie Stowell is a British author-illustrator born in London in 1978, best known for the Loki: A Bad God's Guide series. After years writing non-fiction about space, ancient Egypt and science at Usborne and Ladybird, she made her debut as both author and illustrator with a wry, irreverent comedy in which the trickster god Loki is banished to Earth as a weedy eleven-year-old and given a magical, truth-telling diary and one month to prove he can be good. Told in grumbling diary entries and comic-strip doodles, the books blend real Norse mythology with poop jokes, boasts and genuine lessons about honesty, jealousy and owning your mistakes.
