Madeleine Finlay is a British science writer and broadcaster who makes her graphic-novel debut with Cosmo Park (Flying Eye Books, 2025). Trained in astrophysics and science communication, she has produced and presented science journalism for outlets including the Guardian and New Scientist, and brings that fluency for making hard ideas land to her work for children. Cosmo Park, illustrated by Tom Dearie, folds real cosmology, black holes, gravity, relativity and the ultimate fate of the universe, inside a fast, funny hover-buggy adventure pitched squarely at curious seven-to-eleven-year-olds and reluctant readers who will absorb a galaxy of facts without noticing they are learning.
