To children's-book readers her main contribution is the YA graphic novel Pumpkinheads (with Faith Erin Hicks on art), a sweet pumpkin-patch romance set on the final night of seasonal employment. Rowell's voice is warm, observational and emotionally precise. A reliable contemporary YA author for ages 13+.
