Robbi Behr: American illustrator, half of the Behr-and-Swanson team, whose immersive artwork carries the richly illustrated middle-grade adventure Life on the Moon.

Robbi Behr is an American illustrator who, with her husband and creative partner Matthew Swanson, has spent years making books from the hayloft of an old barn in Chestertown, Maryland. Together the pair are behind The Real McCoys and the Cookie Chronicles, as well as the small presses Idiots' Books and Bobbledy Books. For Swanson's middle-grade adventure Life on the Moon she provides elegant, immersive illustrations that carry a three-hundred-page story lightly, following a boy who joins the first lunar colony, loses his father to a mission everyone denies, and discovers a hidden world of creatures the colony insists cannot exist. Her artwork lends warmth and wonder to a big, generous tale about truth, courage and family change among the stars.
