A US illustrator and storyboard artist, winner of the Sydney Taylor Book Award for The Girl Who Sang, now the main artist on the full-colour Warriors graphic-novel adaptation.

Sammy Savos is an American illustrator, writer and storyboard artist based in Massachusetts, who has worked in animation for studios including Cartoon Network, Titmouse and ShadowMachine before moving into books. She illustrated and co-authored The Girl Who Sang, a Holocaust memoir of hope and survival that won the 2025 Sydney Taylor Book Award and earned a Sibert Honor. In 2026 she becomes the main illustrator for the graphic-novel adaptation of Erin Hunter's hugely popular Warriors saga, launching the New Prophecy arc in full colour: a fast, atmospheric visual retelling built to pull new readers into the warrior cats' world of Clan politics, loyalty tests and life-or-death peril, while rewarding its devoted fandom.
