Sarah Bowie is an Irish author, illustrator and cartoonist and the creator of the Nina Peanut books, a full-colour comic-diary series for 7-10s. Across Nina Peanut Is Amazing, Mega Mystery Solver, Epic World Tour Era and Major Drama Alert, she follows a comics-mad, fame-hungry heroine whose big schemes collide cheerfully with real life, from ghost-hunting at school to a disastrous holiday vlog. A founder member of Ireland's comics scene, Bowie draws in a loose, doodly cartoon style that suits reluctant readers, and works as an arts educator running comic-making and doodling workshops in schools. Her stories mix irreverent humour with genuine warmth about friendship, ambition and being unapologetically yourself.
