Stephanie Blake is an American-born author-illustrator, born in Minnesota in 1968, who settled in Paris and writes in French. In this corpus she is represented by Poo Bum, the English edition (via Gecko Press) of her international bestseller Caca Boudin, in which small rabbit Simon answers every question with the same cheeky phrase, until a hungry wolf takes it as a yes. Blake's Simon books have sold millions of copies worldwide and been adapted into an animated television series. Her style is bold, simple and gleefully irreverent, built for toddler defiance and helpless giggles. A reliable read-aloud author for ages 2 to 6 who love cheeky humour and a satisfying twist.
