Steve Small: the animator turned author-illustrator behind I'm Sticking with You — soft, funny, big-hearted picture books about friendship for the very young.

Steve Small is a British author, illustrator and animator based in London, where he has spent over thirty years as a director and designer at the animation studio StudioAKA. His picture books carry that same expressive, film-maker's eye. He illustrated Smriti Halls's runaway hit I'm Sticking with You and its companions I'm Sticking with You Too and Let's Stick Together, warm rhyming stories about a devoted bear and his best friend Squirrel learning to make room for others and weather their wobbles. Small also writes and illustrates his own picture books, including The Duck Who Didn't Like Water. His artwork is soft, funny and full of feeling, making his books a comforting, giggly choice for the very youngest readers and their grown-ups.
