The shape of it
The shape of this universe.
Donut Squad is Neill Cameron's very silly early graphic novel franchise about doughnuts with action-hero energy, big plans and very questionable levels of common sense. The series is built for children who like bright comics, food jokes, exaggerated expressions and the feeling that a group of tiny ridiculous heroes might somehow cause or solve a world-scale problem. It is lighter than Cameron's Mega Robo Bros work and much younger than serious adventure comics. The main value is accessible comic momentum: quick panels, daft stakes, teamwork and a sense that reading can be pure fun.
A daft, colourful early graphic novel series about heroic doughnuts causing chaos, making mess and trying to save the day.
