Mini Rabbit is John Bond's funny picture-book franchise about a tiny rabbit with enormous determination and not quite enough awareness of what is happening around him. The books are simple, bold and very readable aloud, with a lovely comic rhythm built around repeated insistence: Mini Rabbit is not lost, must help, or is definitely going to get home. The stories are especially good for younger children who recognise the urge to be independent before they quite have the skills to manage it. The humour is gentle, visual and affectionate rather than chaotic.
