The Bad Guys

The Bad Guys is Aaron Blabey's anarchic illustrated comedy franchise about a wolf, shark, snake, piranha and tarantula trying to stop being bad and start being heroes, with extremely mixed results. The books are fast, loud, image-heavy and built for reluctant readers: short chapters, big expressions, jokes, explosions, monsters, aliens, dinosaurs, space stakes and a constant sense that the story is getting out of control. Under the silliness, the series has a useful redemption engine: what if everyone assumes you are bad, but you want to prove otherwise?
