The shape of it
The shape of this universe.
Unfairies is Huw Aaron's funny Welsh comic fantasy franchise about a kingdom of tiny, badly behaved fairies who are much less sweet than the word fairy usually suggests. The books combine anarchic humour, quest energy, comic violence, power struggles, toads, rules and responsibility in a fast graphic novel style. It is a good fit for children who like fantasy worlds but prefer rude jokes, chaos and irreverent adventure over sparkle and politeness. The series is visually accessible, silly and slightly more adventure-edged than the gentlest early comics.
A funny graphic novel series about badly behaved fairies, ridiculous danger, toads, power struggles and chaotic fantasy adventure.
