The shape of it
The shape of this universe.
Zog is Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's rhyming picture-book franchise about a keen young dragon, Princess Pearl and the cheerful subversion of old-fashioned fantasy roles. The first book follows Zog through dragon school as he tries hard, crashes often and keeps being helped by a mysterious girl who turns out not to want a conventional princess life. Zog and the Flying Doctors then gives Pearl, Zog and Sir Gadabout a shared vocation as a flying medical team. It is funny, warm, highly readable aloud and quietly progressive without losing its classic Donaldson/Scheffler charm.
A warm, funny rhyming picture-book series about a clumsy dragon, a doctor princess and finding better roles than the ones expected of you.
