Dan Ojari is the Oscar-nominated animator behind Netflix's Robin Robin, whose debut picture book Is This a Plum? turns peek-through holes and rhyme into a giggly guessing game.

Dan Ojari is a British animator, director and, with Is This a Plum?, a picture-book maker. He co-founded the East London studio Parabella with Mikey Please and co-directed Robin Robin, the stop-motion musical made with Aardman for Netflix, which earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short. Is This a Plum? is his debut picture book, a bold, high-contrast guessing game of peek-through holes and call-and-response rhyme, in which one thing is teased and the page turn reveals another. It began as an idea and drawings by his seven-year-old son Finn, and the two share the byline. Ojari brings an animator's sense of timing and graphic punch to the page, making a book built for read-aloud giggles and the very youngest browsers who love to shout out the answer.
