The series
At a glance.
Paige Walshe's Froggy comics follow a small frog with a big heart who leaves his village, tumbles into an ancient pond and builds a found family of gentle oddballs. Each book is a self-contained pondside adventure - a first journey into the wider world, a season turning towards winter as friends prepare to hibernate - threaded with a quiet, hopeful line about loneliness, courage, change and belonging. Walshe's bright palette, expressive cartooning and sharp comic timing make these ideal early graphic novels: welcoming, funny and emotionally warm without ever being heavy. Best enjoyed in order for the growing cast, though each stands alone. A lovely stepping-stone series for readers who love Frog and Toad, Narwhal and Jelly and Bumble and Snug.

Life at the pond
Two bright, warm-hearted early comics about a small frog finding friends and facing the seasons.
Every Froggy book is a self-contained pondside adventure, so this collection covers the series to date. In the first, award-winning volume, Froggy leaves his village, survives a hungry bird and tumbles into an ancient pond where he meets Fishtopher and a cast of loveable oddballs, learning to handle big feelings and the joy of good friends. In the second, autumn turns to winter and his friends settle down to hibernate, leaving Froggy to face loneliness and find fresh company and cosy mischief. Both pair a bright, expressive cartoon style with gentle comedy and a warm, hopeful heart, staying low in sensitivity and especially kind to sensitive readers.
